Modular Origami

Part of my organization's mission is providing education by creating and supporting the creation of art, including fine arts, mundane arts, literature, sculpture, painting, architecture as well as providing materials.

Origami is considered a folk art being from an indigenous culture which was created primarily for utilitarian and decorative purposes. Japan and China has an extensive tradition independently of paper folding and I choose to promote it due to the problems associated with its preservation.

Origami is also beneficial in the development of vital skills such as behavioral skills, cooperative learning, a link to math, cognitive development, multi-cultural awareness, community building as well as the therapeutic value of the arms and fingers for all ages.
